"Where's Wanda?" is an eight-episode German-language dark comedy that blends mystery with cutting-edge visual storytelling, featuring over 500 visual effects shots including digital animals, full-CG city aerials, and extensive digital enhancements. The series follows the Klatt family's desperate search for their 17-year-old daughter Wanda (played by award-winning actress Lea Drinda), who vanished without a trace months ago. When law enforcement's efforts prove fruitless, parents Dedo and Carlotta (portrayed by German Comedy Award winner Axel Stein and International Emmy Award nominee Heike Makatsch) take an unconventional approach. With the help of their tech-savvy son Ole (Leo Simon), they pose as electrical company workers to secretly bug their neighborhood—and eventually half their suburb—only to discover that their neighbors all harbor secrets behind closed doors. Produced by UFA Fiction, the series features an accomplished ensemble cast including entrepreneur and actress Nikeata Thompson ("How to Dad"), presenter and actress Palina Rojinski ("Welcome to Germany"), Kostja Ullmann ("My Blind Date With Life"), and rising star Harriet Herbig-Matten ("Maxton Hall"). Film audiences may recognize Heike Makatsch from her memorable role in "Love Actually."
